“Prior to your help, this [growth] would have taken me a year.”
“You’ve condensed the amount of work I need to do. My habits are a lot more structured, a lot more fulfilling, and a lot more meaningful.“
“My life is completely different to what it was three months ago.”
I would have never thought that I could do this before in such a short period of time.”
Why Did You Want To Work With Me?
You have a way of making it clear that you expect people to take it [the work] seriously—but you’re not a dick about it.
“I quickly realized how effective you were at breaking things down into actionable steps. Instead of only giving vague encouragement like, oh, ‘just push yourself harder. Believe in yourself more, you know, wake up at five in the morning. You’re like, no, no. Here’s some actionable steps – go do them.'”
“You take a lot of the chaos in my mind and put it into structures that make sense.”
How was the shadowing experience?
Ken upgraded to the shadowing package in the Young Leaders Coaching.
Where, he and I did a full-day, 1-on-1, intensive at a conference.
So he could learn the “nitty-gritty” boots on the ground aspect of business development training.
Here’s what he had to say about the shadowing:
“I was worried that I’d be completely out of my element and that I wouldn’t be able to hold my own in any conversation.”
“However, you introduced me to people, and taught me how to be introduced to people. Because it’s one thing to just be dropped into a room of people versus knowing how to talk to them.
It was nice having your encouragement, but what helped most was watching how you introduce me, how you introduce other people, and reading your blog about various effective habits on how to navigate networking with other people.
I was like, ‘oh, oh, this is really easy to do, actually!’
AND I’ve met people that I consider to be battleships, you know, in the ocean of this game, and I just, I could hang out with them.
We even went and got drinks with one one amazing individual, which was super cool.”
“I’m playing the game now instead of watching the game.”
“Prior to doing this [YLC] I got a bit lost in the nihilism of modern consumerism. It’s very easy to feel like well, ‘what’s the point?'”
A big part about the YLC coaching program is about creating lasting change!
To set the foundation for future elite levels of success—now!
The cornerstone of said foundation is: making change easy.
Where every new piece of information feeds and compounds to build momentum.
Like a flywheel.
Here’s Ken talking about the flywheel:
“The one big thing that’s really great about your technique is that all of the different tools and techniques you provide, build upon each other. It’s a constant building. That builds up momentum—so that the work gets easier.
You put in a little work and you build up momentum, it gets easier and easier, the more you do it.
Then you get new techniques that make it even easier.”
“Attitude wise—I’m a completely different person.”
Things just get done in my life now.
“It’s been interesting. The change from being somebody who wants something and is lost on how to achieve it, to now having a compass and a map.
Then told to go & explore.
I get to fill in more parts of the map as I go.
So, I still have to explore the territory. I still have to go through the process and fix parts of the map that aren’t quite accurate, but I have that compass!
I have a guideline.
And I’ve been given the skills so I don’t worry too much if I fall down a hole.
- I’ve got rope.
- I’ve got my backpack.
- I got my trail mix.”
What’s been your favorite part about doing this work?
“My favorite part has been seeing what’s possible—seeing what I can do!”
“Because of my background: growing up in an almost borderline poverty, working class [Puerto Rican family], things have always felt out-of-reach for me.
And then really realizing that despite that, I can still achieve things. I can still apply myself and put in the effort to see results.
My favorite part is definitely been seeing what I can do. And not only that, but seeing how much people respect that I’m doing the work.”

What’s the biggest transformation you’ve gotten?
A kind of confidence in my own capacity.
“One thing you’ve helped me realize is achieving your goals and trying to build something means you need to change your life.“
I know I can do something with the tools you’ve given me. I can achieve my target goals with the ways you have taught me to approach them.
I know if I want to add a new goal or a new pursuit, I can do it.
I use these techniques of approaching problems, goals, and aspirations that Moose taught me because now I know they work!
It may seem like I’m just saying that you taught me to believe in myself – It’s more than that!
Because:
“It’s one thing to believe in yourself. It’s another thing to be able to actually do it”
Who Would You Recommend YLC to?
The people who are serious.
“I would recommend you to people who really want to go somewhere with it [coaching] and are willing to put in the work.
People who are honestly willing to change their life.
I would definitely recommend you to people who have an idea of what they want and are willing to do the work, but aren’t sure how to get there.
Why? Because:
Moose is the person who’s going to help you walk through this process, but you’re going to need to put the work in.”
