CASE STUDY QUICK WINS
Griffin is a 27-year-old high-achieving program manager who is already “successful” but wanted more.
HOW HE USED YLC
Griffin wanted more meaning. He already had experience that was enviable in comparison to his peers. Young leaders coaching helped distill the strategic clarity, Griffin was looking for to get to the next level.
Griffin refined his quick decision making skills to identify what is most meaningful to him.
QUICK ACTION SUMMARY
Improving Strategic Decision Making
Identifying his “why” and the things that are meaningful to him. To help Griffin prevent “analysis paralysis” in this world of near infinite options.
“I have a much clearer vision of where I want to be.”
“I was doing a lot of things.
Garnering a lot of experience.
But the challenge was setting the mark for what I wanted – what I want to pursue as meaningful.
Because, you know, “What do I want to do with my life?”
Like, there’s so many different directions to this career that I’m pursuing. Your confidence and willingness to help me has enabled me to identify which would be the best option for me, based on my experience, competency, and aspirations.”
Why Did You Want To Work With Me?
You’re very good at helping talented people DEFINE & OWN their success AND journey.
Blended with a sense of compassion and concern, you’re very interested in what others have to say and you know how to help.
You are genuinely concerned about helping people pursue meaning.
What’s the biggest transformation you’ve gotten?
A clearer understanding of the things that are meaningful in my life:
professionally & personally.
I have a much clearer sense of why I’m doing the things that I’m doing. It gives me a lot of motivation to continue doing them.
To pursue opportunities for growth and stay away from ones that are not going to be an efficient use of my time.”
[NOTE FROM MUSTAFA: Daria had a similar form of clarity after our work together.]
What surprised you the most about working with me?
I gotta say—you have an example, a situation, and a story for almost everything, literally almost everything.
Like, we could talk about anything and you could relay it to an example that’s tangible, that’s understandable. That, you know, that I will understand. You have a very rich, rich base of knowledge and life experience from which to draw and relate to people at all levels of life and intelligence.
I think that’s something rare and it allows you to communicate with people on a very practical and personal level.”
Who Would You Recommend YLC to?
Anybody that I come across, who has a passion to succeed.
Somebody who is talented, humble, passionate, but also doesn’t know what they want to achieve.
It’s like, they could do anything, but they’re not doing anything. I think that’s the person. That’s the person that I’d want to connect to you.
